Work Submissions

Contemplative Carmel showcases work from writers, poets, and artists that assist souls in the important work of reclamation. Do you have artwork, poems, writings, reflections, or talks that help inspire others to dive deeper into their inner sanctuary to find peace, self-knowledge and Truth? If so, we welcome you to submit your original piece for possible publication on the Contemplative Carmel Blog.

Blog Submissions

Blog Submissions must fall under one of the following categories:

  • Photo Story (5-7 images)

  • Short Written Reflection/Article (700-900 words)

  • Visual Art Essay (1-2 images/art pieces with accompanying reflection)

  • Poem (with or without an accompanying reflection)

  • Script (original script from a talk or speaking engagement)

Each piece must pass through the following guiding points:

- Does the work inspire others towards a posture of pondering?

- Is the work original to the author, illustrator, or creator?

- Does the contents of the work honor all walks of life but not contradict the teachings of the Holy Catholic Church?

If your work meets the above criteria, we invite you to email your submission.
Submissions do not guarantee publication on the Contemplative Carmel Blog.

*Contemplative Carmel receives many submissions a week. Please give adequate time for the editor to prayerfully ponder your submission before responding to your inquiry.


Book Review

Have you written a book?

We invite you to submit a request for a book review. Book reviews that pass through our submission guiding points and that meet our criteria of inspiring others to dive deeper into their inner sanctuary to find peace, self-knowledge and Truth may be listed in the Contemplative Carmel Library.

When submitting your book review request, please include the following:

  • A summary of your book (one paragraph or less)

  • A response to the following:
    - In what ways does your book inspire others towards a posture of pondering?
    - Who is the book for?

  • A link to where your book may be purchased, or a link to your personal website.

If your work meets the above criteria, we invite you to email your submission.
